Key Focus: Assessed community needs and a pathway to success across multiple Sacramento districts
Partner: Gateway Community Charter Schools
Community Strong Strategies (CSS) partnered with Gateway Community Charter Schools (GCC) through Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy to conduct a comprehensive community needs assessment. Focused on Del Paso Heights, North Sacramento, Robla, South Natomas (Higher Learning Academy, Community Collaborative Charter School, SAVA- Natomas, Futures High), North Highlands (Community Outreach Academy, Community Collaborative Charter School), Arden Arcade (Gateway International School), South Sacramento-Power Inn and Lemon Hill (SAVA-Power Inn and SAVA- Sim), Elk Grove (SAVA-Elk Grove), and West Sacramento-Bryte-Broderick (Empowering Possibilities International Charter - EPIC), the assessment was completed in Summer 2023. It identified strengths, challenges, and potential student barriers to learning. The resulting report equips GCC with essential insights to develop tailored plans meeting the diverse needs of each student across the served districts.
